金門幸運簽語餅店於59年前在華埠開業，從此成為世界各地遊客尋找充滿好運的甜蜜目的地。
在店外常常看到遊客在排隊，大家都感受到金門幸運簽語餅店以愛心手工製作簽語餅。而今時今日，除了傳統口味外，顧客還可以品嚐到巧克力醬、草莓醬和帶有獨特配料的綠茶等創意口味。
通過不懈的職業道德和卓越的奉獻，餅店成為了華埠的重要地標，吸引本地居民及遊客前來華埠。標誌性的手工，美味的食材和精緻的工藝也成為了三藩市的基石。
在過去的 18 個月裡，一切都起了變化，疫情亦帶給我們不同的挑戰。我深明陳展明，他的商店和家人 — 和我們很多人一樣 — 經歷了很多：經濟危機，以及對我們亞裔社區的仇恨和仇外心理。
金門幸運簽語餅店及各員工的意志堅定。他們為長者和弱勢群體收集和分發個人防護裝備等的資源；他們一直為別人發聲和幫助社區。
儘管在過去的一年裡我們一同感受到了種種損失，但這個地方為我們帶來希望。這裡不僅是一家傳統商店，而且亦是在華埠內的一個大家庭和社區。金門幸運簽語餅店是堅毅的象徵，亦將永遠成為三藩市故事的一部分。
我想藉此機會祝賀他們的周年紀念，並讓大家有機會同聚。
自疫情開始以來，我們一直尋找透過不同資源提供撥款和貸款來支持小商業，當中包括我最近簽署的財政預算。我明白商戶在疫情下一直困難重重，而隨著我們走上經濟復甦之路，我們會繼續尋找資源來幫助大家。

Golden Gate Fortune Cookie Company – a symbol of resilience

59 years ago, the Golden Gate Fortune Cookie opened its doors in the heart of Chinatown, and since then, it has become a destination for visitors from all around the world as they look for those sweet treats filled with good fortune.
We know that the Golden Gate Fortune Cookie Company has handmade their cookies with love and compassion as visitors line up outside their iconic location; today, in addition to the traditional flavor, patrons also enjoy creative flavors like chocolate-dipped, chocolate or strawberry-glazed, and green tea with unique toppings.
Through a tireless work ethic and dedication to excellence, the Golden Gate Fortune Cookie Company has become central to Chinatown and a destination for San Francisco residents and visitors alike. The iconic handcrafted cookies, with timeless ingredients, and independent craftsmanship are also cornerstones of San Francisco.
We know that everything has changed over the past 18 months, and the pandemic has challenged us in so many ways. I know Kevin, his store and family – like so many of us – have been through so much: Economic challenges, and the hatred and xenophobia towards our AAPI community.
But, the Golden Gate Fortune Cookie Company and everyone who works there have remained resilient. They have come together to gather and distribute resources like PPEs for seniors and our most vulnerable communities; and they have advocated for others. They have remained strong in the community.
Despite all of the loss we have collectively felt this past year, places like this give us hope. Not only is this a legacy business, but this is also a family and community in the heart of Chinatown. The Golden Fortune Cookie Company is a symbol of resilience, and will forever be a part of our City’s story.
I want to take this opportunity to congratulate the Fortune Cookie Factory on this momentous celebration, and for always bringing people together.
Since the beginning of the pandemic, we have looked for ways of supporting small businesses with grants and loans through different resources, including my recent signed budget. I know it has been challenging, and as we are the road to recovery, we will continue to look for resources to help our merchants.
